The feet are an important part of the body that most people do not give the necessary care that should be given. If the one does not give their feet the proper treatment, one may have serious diseases that can even cause a person to be disabled without the ability to use their feet. There are various foot care tips that a person can use.

Each day a person needs to wash their feet thoroughly with soap and water. This is because the legs are exposed to a lot of dirt, germs and dust during the day as one moves from one place to another. If the germs are not gotten rid of they may lead to serious infections. After washing the legs, one should wipe them well especially between the toes with a clean towel. If the parts between the toes are not properly wiped on may develop fungus infection.

One should endeavor to have a pedicure at least twice a week. When one is having the pedicure they do not have to paint their nails. A person should soak their legs in lukewarm water for about ten minutes. This enables one to soften the dead skin and one can easily scrub their feet. An individual should then wipe their feet and cut their toe nails to a manageable height. It is also advisable for someone to apply cuticle oil that enables one to soften the cuticles. One is not recommended to remove the cuticles as it may lead to exposure of infections.

The feet should always be moisturized. Most people apply lotions quite well on the rest of the body but neglect the legs and feet. Dry feet that are frequently moisturized will be very soft. One should take caution as they moisturize as over-moisturizing especially between the toes can lead to a person developing a fungus infection.

One should not only buy shoes because they are simply pretty but one needs to make sure that the shoes fit them well. Shoes that do not fit well can hamper blood flowing to the feet. An individual needs to remove the shoes as often as possible to enable toes to breathe.

As someone is buying shoes one has to ensure that they buy shoes made of canvas and leather. This is because this material enables the feet to breathe. They are also able to absorb any sweat. Due to the germs that are contained in the shoes a person needs to be changing their shoes as often as possible.

A person also needs to make sure that their feet gets enough blood. When one crosses their legs for a long time they can interfere with the blood circulation. If there is a problem with blood circulation one may experience numbness, muscle cramps, tightness and discoloration of the toenails. One should put their legs up as often as possible to ensure enough blood is flowing.

The feet are a very important part of the body and they should thus be well taken care of. Good foot care ensures that one does not expose themselves to various foot diseases. In addition one saves a lot of money that could be spent on seeing the doctor for treatment of any disease.
