Finding A Trusted Cavachon Dog Breeder

By Ryan Burns

Purchasing a puppy of a designer breed can be very exciting, though they do not usually come without some financial cost. Where one obtains their animals is quite important because it may affect many things from their quality and health, to their behavior. One should only employ the services of a trustworthy Cavachon dog breeder in Minneapolis MN, for the benefit of pet and owner.

The AKC does not list these pups as a pure breed as they are a blending of a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and the Bichon Frise. They fall under the categorization of designer dogs because they came about through the purposeful intent of creating canines who exemplify certain physical and behavioral traits. These in particular are highly desired for their impressive intelligence, gentle nature and allergy friendly coats.

They are on the low end of the mid range as far as size is concerned. As adults, they typically reach a height of between 12-16 inches and generally weigh 10-20 pounds. Their appearance is an adorable mixture of the two parent breeds, giving them a sporty frame and overly large and incredibly expressive eyes that most find irresistible.

The coats of this breed may be either silky with a slight wave, or it could be loosely curled. Typical coloring is basically white with splotches of black, sable or red, though they frequently also come out as a solid hue or a combination of three. Shedding is minimal, as is dander production, both traits that make them attractive options for people with pet allergies.

These pets are known to be loving and affectionate with a protective tendency, though rarely are they aggressive. Early socialization makes them more adaptable to other animals and children. They have an impressive level of intelligence, a very playful nature and a strong desire for attention that makes it ill advised to leave them unattended or without television or another pet, for long spans of time.

To increase the odds of obtaining a puppy that is in good health and of top breeding, it is crucial to seriously consider the one who is providing them. The individual should have a reputation for giving all of their animals plenty of loving and kindness instead of keeping them in cages until their services are needed. Any time a canine is not allowed ample time and space to run, play and socialize properly, the effect could be adverse.

When checking out the litter, request to see both of the parents. This serves multiple purposes such as being able to observe their personality traits, their physical demeanor and appearance, as well as their general health. By viewing the sire and the dame, both of whom should be well mixed, one can get a fair idea of how the puppies will look when grown, as well as character aspects that may have been passed down to them.

Those interested in adopting a new pet should take note of how clean the facility is, especially the animals' areas. Active puppies is a very good thing and there should be a good place where the adults and the young ones are able to exercise and play. Each of these individual factors all have some implication of the quality of the breeding program and how well the canines have been cared for.
