By Jose Green

If you keep dogs in your home, you have a duty of taking care of them and ensure they stay healthy. If your pets start showing signs of ill health and suffering, call the veterinary. In many places, you see the Dog Knuckling happening, and this means the creature will have a hard time walking or standing as they drag the paws.

If your pet is affected by this, try to treat the same. This is known as a neurological condition affecting them. There are many causes of this problem. It might be small or severe. If it drags the paw when walking on the ground, call the vet and have the problem diagnosed. There are some diseases which lead to this danger and some causing death. Some animals improve over time.

The knuckling might come when playing or walking. One way you can confirm the condition exists is to check as the animals are walking away or coming. When you notice them being unsteady or have the uneven gait, do something to help it recover. Sometimes, the creature will stand and lifts the affected paw, then place the knuckle under.

Another thing which shows the pet is affected is when nerves get damaged. There are nerves damaged, and they vary from minor to severe damages. It could be an inflammation or trauma that arises after a disease comes. When such comes, you have to do something and have the damaged nerves treated. Some damages are big and they may not be treated.

Sometimes, you end up seeing the dog having the hurting and sore paw. When you see pets struggle, check the underside. In some cases, you might see the sharp objects sticking in their foot. If sharp objects are sticking on the foot, it leads to pain and this cause problem when walking. If the surface they are walking in is hot, this might lead to some discomforts which make them feel some pain.

The creature will also show this when they catch the vertebral disc disease. If the disc located in the spinal cord degenerates, the pets will show the signs. In many cases, you find the young puppies affected because of the physical trauma or doing strenuous activities. When this comes, they stumble and show stiffness.

Every dog will grow old at some time. When old, their limbs become weaker. If age is catching up with the pets, the muscle mass is lost. Some animals will suffer from arthritis, and this slows the nerve. When such starts showing, it leads to affected paws. The problem gets fixed by using the service of a veterinary who gives the steroids, exercises and pain relievers.

The other cause which might lead to this condition is the tumors growing in different parts of the body. These tumors start impinging on these affected nerves. These nerves will be pressing the spinal cord. When this happens, the tumors might affect the brains, but this can also cause this problem. Some tumors cannot be treated but only removed to help in clearing this problem.
