You will feel as if you have built up a good relationship with the therapist on a one on one basis, as opposed to someone in a group environment. The relationship that you build with the therapist is very important because you will feel that you are able to trust them. This is not something that comes naturally for the person with PTSD.

You may also be referred to someone else who specialized in a specific method. It could be that you need to build up your self esteem. Cognitive behaviour therapy can be effective for this. The person will learn to become more positive over time, and escape from most of those negative emotions which are common when you are suffering in this way.
