Ways Christian Churches In Las Vegas Treat Their Visitors

By Donna Miller

Churches are striving to make sure that they have gotten maximum numbers of members. This is unfortunate because people who are searching for a home church, get lost in the crowd and the marketing. Attending a church should be something that people do to worship God and not about the number of individuals who attend. Here are ways in which Christian Churches in Las Vegas can cater for their guests.

Treating the visitors in a way that will make them feel genuinely welcome is a way of extending the love of God to others. Visitors will become brothers and sisters in Christ so they should be taken care of as family. Treating visitors well will not guarantee you of their coming back to the church, but will also determine whether they will choose to go on in the quest about Gods teaching.

The good news is that there are things that can be done to the guests so that they end up feeling like a part of the church. If the church and the member practice this, then they will ensure that the guests are not only welcomed, but they will also want to feel like the part of the family.

One of the approaches that you can do this has an usher at the entrance who will welcome the guests as they come in. The person doing this must understand that people of various ages need to be addressed differently. They should also not waste a lot of time engaging with unnecessary chitchats. The best things that they can do are to make sure that the visitor feels welcomed and knows where to go. Other than that, they should hand over any flyers that give the church program at that point.

It is best especially on Sunday to get a visitors center. This should have a few people who will interact with the guests and make them feel welcomed. It is best that you ask the church members to take the guest to the center rather than have them move up and down trying to find the place. This will ensure that they feel as if they are a part of the family.

Another method of helping visitors is by wearing name tags. Church visits can at times be very overwhelming. Cramming the names of every individual is not the very first thing on the mind of the visitor. It is accommodating if the welcoming team, like the volunteers and door greeters in the visitors center, wear name tags.

You should also take the time to talk with the guest and find a bit about the guest. Try to do this without intimidating them. While some guests might be willing to share their details, there are those who are reserved. Try a much a possible not to intimidate the guests.

Lastly, always make follow ups with the visitors. During their first visit in the church, make sure that they fill a visitor card bearing their names, phone numbers, and addresses. Get someone in the church to call them in the course of the following week and tell them how much enjoying their visit was.
