Tips About Various Clothing Labels

By Stephanie Fisher

A company will always ensure that it produces clothes in bulk for sale. Other than through ensuring that they produce high quality clothes, a company may also be interested in marketing and branding their products. One of the best ways used to market clothes by a specific company is through using Clothing Labels. This is a very efficient and cheap way of marketing the company.

Many garment companies have opted to use the labels as a way of gathering more customers to purchase their products. For companies that intend to market their products over a long period, woven tags are the best option. This will allow a new customer to check the product and determine whether they love it or not then offer them the producer as to who offers the product.

The durability of a tag is determined by the quality of the material used in creating the tag. A company that intends to use tags on their garments should ensure that they choose that of high quality which is less likely to tear or fade with time. Most low quality tag fabrics will result in peeling off of the front fabric that contains the content necessary for marketing.

You need to ensure that when choosing a tag, it is in line with the characteristics of a garment. Some common traits considered include the color and material of the garment. To create a uniform look, you need to ensure that the color of the label and the material used in making the label is similar to that of the garment. This will make the product appear more unique.

The tags are in two main types, the woven ones, and the printed ones. In the case of printed tags, the font is printed onto the material using an ink intended to last longer. The ink used is thus permanent. However, it can still be washed out. Common materials used in making this type of tags include acetate, satin, polyester and cotton twill.

The printed labeling method is however not as withstanding as the woven ones as the font is likely to be washed out with frequent washing. Although they do not last as long as the woven ones, they are cheaper as they are easily manufactured and are of high quality. This may be the reason as to why many companies are preferring this type of labeling for their garments.

For the woven type of labeling, satin, taffeta, and damask are the main materials used. They last longer than the printed labels. However, their main downside is that they tend to sag with time after every wash. Also, some customers claim that the label feels scratchy and itchy on their skin. Other people may also show an allergic reaction to the material.

Tags are easily accessible as they are often sold in many online stores. Companies that specialize in the mass production of garments would find it more convenient to have their tags manufactured in bulk and customized to their tastes. This allows the company to brand their garments by creating a unique tag that uniquely identifies their products.
