The Australian labradoodle is a cross bred dog where the main contributors are the Labrador and the standard sized poodle. However, there are other breeds that also contribute to its genetic makeup like the wheaten terriers, Irish water spaniels, and Curly coated retrievers. While they share similar features, each pet has its own distinctive personality that makes them unique and loveable.

Next, they love to be active. This type enjoys going outside to stretch their legs out and play. Persons who also like to get their workout done can find a great companion with this furry angel. On average, this dog needs to burn energy for at least thirty to sixty minutes a day to ensure they stay healthy and strong.

Speaking of coats, many people opt for this particular dog type because of its unique fur type and texture. Introduced as the first allergy free guide, this pet was bred for family members who are visually impaired but are sensitive to most dogs. What makes it fur different from others is it is low shedding and it prevents dander from floating around the house.

In addition, the color of their coat also comes in several colors. Some shades that are quite common with this group include chocolate, caramel, black, apricot, and cream. Nevertheless, it is not uncommon for a labradoodle puppy to change its coloring over time like from apricot to red. If this happens, remain calm since it is normal for pups to grow into their colors.

They are a mix of different breeds. Most people can infer that labrodoodles are a cross between a standard poodle and Labrador. In reality, this dog also has other characteristics from other dogs. These include the Irish Water Spaniel, American and English Cocker Spaniel, and the Curly Coat Retriever. Each of which have their own defining personal traits and physical characteristics.

They have a long lifespan. On average, the Australian labradoodle can live from between thirteen and fifteen years provided owners properly take care of them. However, they do have common health problems you need to watch out for. Some examples include hip dysplasia, progressive retinal atrophy, and Von Willebrand Disease. To ensure your pet is not at risk for developing any of these issues, remember to bring them to the veterinarian on a regular basis.

Last but not least, they come in a variety of different sizes and colors. The standard option stands anywhere between twenty one to twenty four inches in height while the miniature and medium can range from fourteen to sixteen and seventeen to twenty inches respectively. Their fur also comes in a variety of shades including chocolate, red, and apricot.
