I myself have three dogs at home. Even though it is quite expensive to maintain them, when you look at their face and their eyes tell you that they love you more than life itself, you can definitely say it is worth it. There are so many different breeds of dogs, and their behaviors may vary from where they were bred from, how they were brought up, etc. Read on to find out if you are capable in handling a miniature schnauzer Vancouver.

Mini schnauzers were originally bred in Germany, but they remain a very popular breed worldwide. They consistently stay on the top ten in most popular breeds ranking in the U. S. Alone. They really are irresistible.

Their appearance is enough to make you want to get one. They have a face that looks angry all the time, and a classy mustache to pair it with. As you can tell from their name, they are small in size.

You can find mini schnauzers bouncing around very often, as this is one of the things they love to do. They bark really loudly, too. Do not underestimate them. These cute dogs are some of the smartest breeds to exist. Jed, a famous dog trainer, can confirm this. He also adds that they are one of his favorite breeds to work with because he does not have a hard time training them, as they can follow instructions easily.

Those little ears are in fact very powerful. They can hear frequencies that humans are not able to. In spite of this, they bark so much, that they make the best guard dogs. They work really well with German shepherds especially, even though they are opposite in size.

Marie, a business owner, owns one named Agatha and is very pleased with her. She says Agatha is an excellent family dog. She gets along with everyone, especially her kids. She adds that Agatha and her four year old daughter, Irene, are inseparable, and play together everyday.

Whether you live in a big mansion or a small apartment, this is a good choice of breed for you. This type of breed can live almost anywhere, as they can adapt to their environment fairly quickly. However, do not forget to give them lots of exercise, as they are very energetic and might get destructive when left bored too long.

With regards to maintenance, this breed is known to suffer from heart and eye problems at a later age. Their fur has to be regularly brushed to prevent matting. A haircut is recommended every five to eight weeks or so.

Before buying a dog, make sure that you really are ready for a long term commitment. Having a dog is hard work. The average life span of a dog is around ten years. That is a decade of dedication. Wait till you are ready.
