Why A Miscarriage Happens And How To Prepare For It

By Amanda Adams

Some things happen without reason or purpose in unexpected ways and many prefer that they never do. They can be called natural phenomena or even acts of God no one is ever prepared for or able to control. With females, some of the most severe events that are tied to physical make up sometimes occur, in times of pregnancy or impending childbirth.

There is usually one reason for such an event, when a chance chromosome defect develops in the growing embryo. The miscarriage cannot be anything that anyone wants to happen but it sometimes does despite the safety measures that have been carried out. Some other reasons for it are falls or movement that injures the fetus, or chemical factors for the environment or used by the woman.

An abortion is quite different from this accidental happening. This is a method of forcing the end of a pregnancy, even before the ideal gestation time because of some factors related to the mother and the decision perhaps of parental authority. For those who have been visited by the rare accident, it is quite tragic because doctors do not have good chances of saving the embryo.

There are several relevant symptoms to watch out for, and when these are detected earlier, there is always a possibility that the baby can be saved. The woman is not the one to blame under these circumstances when and no other factors are involved. And the causes will not be for something trivial like an extra cup of coffee or drink, sex during pregnancy or some light to moderate exercise.

Items that puts a baby in the womb at risk are often related to the behavior of a mother. This is when she is in contact or behaving with certain risk factors. The most dangerous of these are the use of drugs, a smoking habit and constant and excessive drinking.

There are also some inadvertent risk factors that can harm a baby without his or her mother knowing it. These can be things like trauma incurred during a car crash, or the presence of Listeria, a bacteria sometimes found in raw eggs, unpasteurized dairy products and undercooked meat.

Checking up on some health issues might also help. During pregnancy, a mother often has to have certain levels of chemicals that are necessary for that period, and running low on them might cause the death of a fetus. Other factors can be a woman who is beyond pregnancy age, and health issues like diabetes and infectious conditions.

The occurrence of warning signs that means the unwanted demise of the baby inside a mother must be looked out for. When they do occur, there should be an instant check up. Leave nothing to chance for signs like back pain, extreme cramps, constant spotting, when normal pregnancy issues are not occurring like nausea or vomiting, and the ejection of fleshy objects by the mother.

Consulting a gynecologist is also a required item for pregnant mothers. Plus, a good system of monitoring the health of a mother should be put in place, and also the avoidance of environmental factors should be done. They pregnant woman should also attend some training sessions in the relevant checking and monitoring methods.
